2007 PINES Annual Membership Meeting

PINES Annual Meeting Minutes (Approved 5/15/2008)

Chairman Lois Roberts opened the PINES Annual Meeting at 12:05 p.m.

PINES Director Elizabeth Garcia called the roll of PINES Members and declared a quorum with 41 members present.

Chairman Roberts asked for any general comments or discussion items.

Unfinished Business.

There was no unfinished business.

New Business

• Debbie Manget made a motion that recommendations and items for consideration at PINES Executive Meetings be sent to PINES Directors one week prior to the meeting (if at all possible); seconded by Donna Howell.  Motion carried.
• Gary Swint made a motion that there be a delay for a specified amount of time (e.g. 24 hours) for opportunistic captures of holds outside a library system for items that are available in a patron’s home library or system.  This request should receive high priority and be referred to the development team along with appropriate subcommittees.  Second by Debbie Manget.  Motion carried.
• Gary Swint made a motion that the issue of holds that are ordered by patrons and not picked up be addressed by an appropriate subcommittee and that a specified time for cancellation of holds be established; seconded by Barry Reese.  Motion carried.

Debbie Manget made a motion that the PINES Annual Meeting be adjourned; seconded by Joan Anderson.  Motion carried. 

Meeting adjourned at 12:21 p.m.
