Hello all!

Thought I would take a moment and introduce myself. I’m the new PINES Software Development Manager and I started officially last Monday, the 13th. (I’m not taking the date as a bad omen, btw.)

In that short time, I've been fortunate enough to hit the ground running... I met with many fine folks at COMO at the end of last week and am looking forward to seeing everyone at your respective libraries as we set up site visits in the coming weeks.

I also met with the good people from Equinox and am meeting again with them next week.

In the meantime, I'm focusing on identifying all of the moving parts, and making a first attempt at constructing a process for prioritization, definition of criteria and processes and creation of communication plans and channels.

In that context (since that may take a little time ;) I'm also keeping my antennae up for opportunities to get more immediate results.

In the next few weeks:

I'll be setting up site visits, continuing analysis, meeting with Equinox, and formulating a plan, focusing both on immediate and long-term results.

I'm also looking forward to the Executive Committee meeting in November.
