Acquisitions Working Group Progress

The Acquisitions Working Group, consisting of the Acquisitions and Cataloging Subcommittee, is approaching the completion of the final requirements for the specifications document for the PINES acquisitions module. The group has been hard at work for several months defining local workflows to use in defining the requirements for a module that facilitates the acquisitions functions for print and non-print materials for the 50 library systems that comprise the PINES consortium, with scalability if more Georgia libraries join.

These documents (listed below) are the current drafts of the requirements, workflows and uses cases that are the result of the meetings and online discussions amongst the group, facilitated by PINES staff.

This presentation (also below) will be presented by the PINES team at the Annual meeting, with a Q&A session to follow. It is a brief overview of action items surfaced in November, with results and follow-up.

March 2009 Executive Committee Meeting

Unfortunately, the March 2009 Executive Committee Meeting was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts of Committee Members, and was never rescheduled.  Below are links to the materials that would have been presented at that meeting.  Pending Executive Committee agenda items have already been planned for the Executive Committee Meeting, set for 1:00 on May 20.
