Release of Evergeen 1.4.0.4

Release of Evergreen v.1.4.0.4 Scheduled for May 27th, 2009

**PLEASE NOTE THAT THE RELEASE WILL REQUIRE A STAFF CLIENT UPGRADE. THE CLIENT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO THURSDAY MORNING, MAY 28TH, 2009.**

What follows is a list of Features & Fixes in version 1.4.0.4. Where possible, a screenshot and description of the functionality is available.

Note that the screenshots show an Orange Evergreen screen. This is our test system -- the color of the user interface has not indeed changed!

....................

CONTEXT MENUS: Copy/Paste menus that previously appeared but were not functional have been removed in this release. Copy/Paste functionality is in development for a future release.

LONG OVERDUE: Automatic changes of items overdue for over 180 days to a status of "longoverdue" -- billed equivalent to a lost item:

• Active as of the day after the release 1.4.0.4, all items checked out on that day or after will automatically be attributed a status of “longoverdue” once it has reached 180 days overdue.
• In order to accommodate preparatory work on existing records, the PINES team will schedule batch changes in the month of June. The exact date is currently being vetted among the PINES libraries.
