Reinstalling the Evergreen Staff Client

If you wish to remove all of the Evergreen data off of a workstation, or if you are having a problem with the Evergreen Staff Client and wish to completely reinstall it, follow these instructions:

 

First, follow your computer's standard procedures for uninstalling a piece of software.

In Windows 7, this would be:

  1. Click the Start Button
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Under 'Programs', click 'Uninstall a Program'
  4. Select 'Evergreen Staff Client'
  5. Click Uninstall/Change
  6. Follow the prompts to complete the uninstall process

 

After the uninstall process is complete, navigate through your file system and delete the 'OpenILS' folder.

The Windows 7 location is:

C:\Users\(your Windows login name)\AppData\Roaming\OpenILS

 

What if you can't see the AppData folder?

Please note that your computer may be set to hide some of files and folders by default. If this is the case, you will need to 'show' them, which you can in Windows 7 by:

  1. Click the Start Button
  2. Select Computer
  3. Navigate to the C drive
  4. Open the Users folder
  5. Open the folder corresponding to your Windows login name
  6. Click Organize
  7. Select 'Folder and Search Options'
  8. Switch to the View tab
  9. Under 'Hidden files and folders,' select 'Show hidden files, folders, and drives'
  10. Click Apply
  11. Close the pop-up window and you should then be able to see the AppData folder.
