The 2.5 Staff Client download will be made available for those libraries not using the autoupdate feature.

Thursday, January 16:

PINES will be taken offline for upgrades at 6:00 p.m. This includes the Staff Client, the OPAC, and other software and devices that connect to the PINES server. Libraries that connect to PINES via SIP for third-party account validation (PC Reservation and other time management software, OverDrive, self-check machines, etc.) should make alternative arrangements.

Libraries are encouraged to use the Standalone client to continue to check out items while the system is offline. Libraries that use the Standalone client should download the Offline Patron List prior to the system being taken offline.

The 'test' site will be available during the outage with a snapshot of the catalog records, so you will be able to use it to do catalog searches. Just be aware that
the circulation data will be several days out of date.

Friday, January 17 through Monday, January 20:

PINES will be offline.

Tuesday, January 21:

PINES will be back online by 6:00 a.m. Most libraries are set up to use autoupdate, so that when you launch the Staff Client in the morning, the software update will occur automatically.

If your library has used the Standalone client, be sure to upload your transactions (as many libraries will be uploading at once, you may wish to stagger your uploads throughout the day). You may also reconnect your SIP accounts.
