 Excel does not know how to handle the long numbers in PINES barcodes, and will shorten them in scientific notation:

+To correct this:
+  - Right-click on the column header containing the barcodes.
+  - Choose **Format Cells...**.
+  - Navigate to the **Number** tab.
+  - Change the **Category** to **Number**.
+  - Change the **Decimal Places** to **0**.
+  - Click **OK**.
