Barcodes now available in PINES Apps

We are happy to announce that with the newest upgrade of the PINES app for both iOS and Android phones, library patrons can use the new "Show Card" feature to display their account number as a scannable barcode! This allows patrons to use their phone at the circulation desk, at self-check machines, and at libraries that are set up to use barcode scanners to register for computer usage.

Please note that not all libraries have the same type of barcode scanner equipment, and there are some libraries that have equipment that cannot scan off of phone screens at all. At those libraries, if the normal PINES card is not available, the card number will need to be typed in manually.
