Excel does not know how to handle the long numbers in PINES barcodes, and will shorten them in scientific notation:

To correct this:

1. Right-click on the column header containing the barcodes.
2. Choose Format Cells…
3. Navigate to the Number tab
4. Change the Category to Number
5. Change the Decimal Places to 0
6. Click OK
